When I woke up I realized I didn’t have any fresh bananas in the house, thankfully I had previously frozen overripe banana and frozen mangoes that I used in this smoothie.
You can use fresh fruit, but frozen fruit gives your smoothie that nice icy thick texture. When your fresh fruit, is just past that point of peak ripeness, freeze the sweet delicious flavor of it and use it in a smoothie. Wash, peel, core (if needed) and chop the fruit into small pieces and place is freezer bags or freezer containers. Then use when you run out of fresh fruit like I did today.
Frozen banana + mango green smoothie

- 1/2 cup frozen mangoes
- 2 handfuls of baby spinach
- 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 inch piece ginger
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds optional

Notes
This smoothie is quite thick because of the frozen fruit, add more water if you like it thinner.
